Compact Coelogyne from Sulawesi, New Guinea and neighbouring islands, found on mossy trees and rocks in wet tropical forest from near sea level up into the montane zone. Pseudobulbs carry paired leaves and produce arching spikes with green to brown flowers, usually in the cooler months. In culture it thrives in intermediate temperatures, medium light, high humidity and evenly moist but very airy media.
