Miniature cloud-forest species from Ecuador, found between about 1500 and 2300 m. It forms small clumps of leaves and produces orange to red flowers with a forked snake tongue lip held well above the foliage. In cultivation it prefers cool to intermediate temperatures, very high humidity, low light and a constantly moist but airy growing medium.
