Miniature species from cloud forests of Valle del Cauca in Colombia and Zamora-Chinchipe in Ecuador, found around 1500-1800 m. It produces star-shaped orange to red flowers almost continuously on a compact plant. Grow cool-intermediate, in very humid air with good airflow, full shade and consistently moist moss or fine bark.
