Cold-growing Lepanthes from high mountains of Costa Rica, recorded around 2100-2600 m on mossy trees in dense cloud forest. Plants are small but produce numerous unusual red to orange flowers on wiry inflorescences, mainly in winter. In cultivation it demands cool to cold temperatures, saturated humidity, full shade and constantly moist, very fine substrate or mounts.
