Utricularia graminifolia

Utricularia graminifolia is a small, carnivorous, and perennial plant known for its vibrant green, grass-like appearance. It is commonly used as a foreground carpeting plant in aquascaping to create a lawn-like effect. Location: Native to Southeast Asia, specifically found in Burma, China, India, Sri Lanka, and Thailand. Habitat: It grows in wetlands, marshes, and often in the splash zone of streams, preferring wet, nutrient-poor soils. It is found at altitudes up to 2,000 meters. Environment: It is generally a terrestrial or affixed, subaquatic plant rather than a truly aquatic species. Height: Typically grows between 2 cm and 10 cm, forming a dense, short carpet. Width: Spreads through runners, forming mats, with individual plants being very delicate. Structure: It consists of a tangle of small, light-green, grass-like leaves. Carnivorous: It produces tiny bladders to trap microorganisms. Requirements: Prefers medium to high light, soft to medium water, and temperatures between 22-28°C. Usage: Ideal for foreground, and can be attached to wood or rocks, or planted in the substrate.
